I wrote this poem a few years ago when I was 14ish and was really happy with it then. I dug it out of a folder today, and I can't decide if I still like it or if it's too melodramatic. I'm leaning towards the latter, I think.
To write
Glistening words on a page
Creating worlds
Shaped by
Dragons,
Dreams,
And thoughts unspoken but by the whisper of pages.
The pen paints with letters upon a virgin sheet;
It pauses,
Suspending thoughts in the air,
Then resumes its flight along the white sea.
A flight of freedom;
A limitless journey.
Ink,
And paper.
